Second dye channel no longer works after race change with certain items

Steps:
1. Dye an item, in this case the Tantra Chestwrap, using both channels, it worked as a Hyuran Midlander.
2. Use fantasia to race change to an Au'Ra, Raen in this case.
3. Immediately upon logging back in, the second dye channel is no longer recognized. Tried reapplying dye, glamour shifting, glam chest shifting, nothing works. Others see it similarly so it does not seem to be client side only. Other chestpieces I tried, including another Monk AF piece, seem to dye properly as usual. No idea what causes this!
