Graphics issues (PC)--plastic looking textures, overly bright housing lighting

I'm on PC (Alienware Aurora R11, GPU: Nvidia RTX3070, Win10) and have noticed that most things now look plastic, particularly buildings and mountains in the rain. The eyes of my Chocobo and White Lanner look washed out and dead. The lighting in the house is too bright, even with lighting turned down to zero, everything is washed out and looks flat. Large, once-majestic buildings also now appear flat like paper cutouts or feel small, as there doesn't seem to be any depth or distance. Trees lack volume and appear thin and plastic. There's an aura and plastic-looking sheen on the people and their clothing. The water has little surface texture and only a little reflection, so everything in it appears to not be in the water, particularly noticed at Costa del Sol. I've tried changing settings and experimenting to see what might fix some of these issues, but I've not been successful.
