In game music.

I'm a huge fan of Final Fantasy music, and sadly I hear mostly sound effects when playing the game. I try turning down all the other filters and leaving just the music up, but it still lacks quality. It's very flat, no dynamic sound at all. How could Square Enix do this to Nobuo's Music? I love the music, it makes every battle THAT much more epic. I think the sound effects do to, but why is the quality so bad? Is it cause it's the server, engine that the game runs on, is it possible to fix that? Even with "A realm reborn" version coming up (2.0).

Is it possible to get this taken care of? Maybe I'm just crazy but I love my Final Fantasy music. I'm obsessed with it! I need it to be played at its best quality, I have GREAT speakers but it's just not living up to its expectation like it should be. The music sounds 100 times better through any other Media player than through the game itself. I know its a given but cmon, a little more sound quality in the music would be much appreciated!

Turn surround sound on? Get good headphones?

I'm not sure what you're complaining about to be honest, I love the music and can hear it just fine.

No, I agree with Springleaf. The sound quality of some of the Nobuo tracks are pretty low compared to the new ones which throws you off. This is all very relative though and I only picked up on that because studio engineering and production is a interest of mine. To anyone else who isn't as concerned with it will be fine with the quality. The alpha tracks being reused for new content though seems to have been enhanced a bit to sound better.

For instance, the phase one van Darnus fight music I can hear some new instrumentation and little ambient sounds/effects that I couldn't hear in the alpha version because the sound quality was so low. It can make a big difference sometimes especially if you want to add depth to a track.

Thank you Brucey! Why would someone complaining about me asking for some better sound quality, and it's not just turning down the sound effects. The quality just isn't as good as the new tracks. I know the old tracks have quality too, cause i listen to them on a daily basis. It's just not right when playing the music in game. All I'm asking is the devs pass along to increase the sound quality of the music.

Also to level out the music volume, it goes so loud in some areas and some areas it's quiet. It's not balanced!

Yep. The songs are great pieces. I'd argue that some are incredibly misplaced, but afaik nobuo's tracks were composed based on concept. New tracks fit really well around what is going on though. The music in general is just a mess and should be fixed for 2.0 not only in quality, but in how it's executed in the newly designed zones.

GUess there's not enough support!! Nooooooooooooooooooooo

I have noticed some tracks just don't sound right. Such as the Thanalan Battlecraft leve music, the bass guitar (?) is too quiet. It should be louder. That's the only one that comes to mind. Probably others that I don't remember.
