Please Create Official Surveys Before Making Adjustments

I am extremely dissatisfied with the announcement of planned changes to simplify the Viper job based on feedback. What feedback? The job has only been available for days. I would provide overwhelming positive feedback for the jobs current state.

I feel SE should do better, they cannot reasonably say they listened to feedback if they aren't asking for it. People are more inclined to leave feedback when they are dissatisfied unless you actively solicit that positive feedback. People enjoying the job have near 0 incentive to come hear and talk about what they are enjoying about the game.

Maybe we can get some adjustments to healers to up the engagement of their DPS kits.

Yeah, the team has never been very transparent in regards to where exactly they get their feedback from and the justification for the changes they make. They say it's the forums, but there's plenty of examples of LARGE swathes of feedback being ignored on this board. It seems very random and they need a better way of organizing their feedback, good and bad.

I’m tired of them changing things the MAJORITY of players like because they saw a few ultra-casual players make a comment. They need to stop listening to the lowest common denominator over their loyal players who keep the game thriving

Honestly at this point they might as well because who asked for black mage rework and the future viper changes??
It would benefit to feel as though everyone is getting properly heard.

Agree that they should start doing surveys.
It is ironic that one of the main premise of Dawntrail MSQ is visiting places to places to try and understand the inhabitants problems and alleviate them while on the other hand the devs seemingly make adjustments without considering the opinion of a wider audience.

Works in old school runescape, just something as simple as "we are looking into streamlining viper gameplay by reducing the number of positional per minute, is this something you would enjoy? Y/N"

People go on forums to complain, not to spread positive feedback. Removing the hurdles towards giving positive feedback with an in game polling NPC would be a great help in getting better in touch with the community at large.

As long as the survey is weighted by what content a responder plays (i.e. high-level content being weighted more heavily than, say, players who only do dungeons) then surveys are 100% the way to go.

If they did this you weirdos would review bomb it with really bad opinions. Whoever they listen to right now have good heads on their shoulders.

If theres so few of us that think this way, how would we control a poll that asks all players of the job in question? Surely if the community at large thought the proposed changes were good, the poll would be in your favor, right? You have nothing to worry about... unless the majority of viper players dont agree with you! :D
