Game wont launch after login

I let the game updated to 1.23 just like normal, everything seemed to work. However when I open the client, login, and hit play I get this error message http://i48.tinypic.com/344p4bc.png
My client version is ver.2.0.0.106

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)

I'm having the same problem, I put my login, pres Play and the game crash :S I didn't know if it were my PC or the game, well it seems it's the game. Now what should we do?

I remember having this issue in beta. a complete uninstall=>reinstall fixed it.

If it's the same issue: I remember seeing a thread on the beta forums on how to fix it exactly, it had something to do with the game thinking it was the wrong version. you could fix it by manipulating some files in the FFXIV mydocuments folder. but I honestly can't remember what it was.

you can try step 3 here. i don't think it's the problem but it's worth a shot.
