Esteem lost damage due to new gap closer

So I was doing some testing on my 98 dark knight and noticed that Esteem has lost a hit on his rotation. Instead of doing a damaging plunge, he now does the new gap closer. This is a huge loss on potency, and should be changed to something else or plunge should be put back in.

The potencies were upped for it. Both its general attacks and Shadowbringer were buffed

As Oizen said, they increased damage on Esteem attacks. from 350 to 420 on its standard attacks, 500 to 570 on its Shadowbringer, putting at exactly same total potency as before.
350*5 + 500 = 2250
420*4 + 570 also = 2250
So they did account for the loss of Plunge in terms of potency. DRK and GNB also received significantly more potency on basic attacks in the Melee Mastery - for DRK and GNB it works out to about 93.3 potency per GCD or 280 for full combo, while for WAR and PLD it's 33 and 32per GCD respectively.

I wish I could say their approach to merging Blood Weapon and Delirium was the same, but alas.

Edit: It technically does lose damage if it needs to gap close multiple times, but this is almost entirely just Deep Dungeon group run issue.
