It is in vain to continue, if you plan to get through black mage or other new class leves solo or duo. You will need four people group. I found this when trying as bm in Aurum Vale. My motivation is now at end. Good luck who still stand. And Group slaves, this was not for you ;)

Why would a solo player want to unlock Black Mage? Jobs are for party play.

i don't get it? I solo level'd and quest maybe 3/4s of the game.
If you're talking about the Aurum Vale AF then I'm positive anyone could solo that. All that gets in your way is the 4-person minimum entry.
