I'm just getting my PC ready for a re-install, as I'm upgrading my primary HDD to an SSD.
Previously I had FFXIV installed on my D: Drive, but t's been recommended that I'll need to install it on my SSD, so to save time I want to pre download the updates, but which ones do I need and which ones can I skip??
If you can, copy the old install from D: and then the files from you profile (My games > final fantasy xiv) to safe location, then when you have pc re-installed, install XIV to SSD and then overwrite your new files with the old ones. This ensures that all settings and updates are the same as in your old install. Works for most other programs and between multiple computers too.
