BLM Hi Blizzard?

Is anyone noticing this? Used to be one cast of Hi Blizzard restored about 9200 of my MP. NOW it adds nothing... but 2 or 3 casts seems to get it where it should be. It's an integral part of my AoE rotation that is now toast.

Black Mage doesn't work the same as it did in Endwalker.

They redid the MP mechanics on black mage. It's regrettable.

I mean what the frak justification is there for making a freaking caster spend 3 casts to get enough oomph to cast actual damaging spells? What purpose does it serve except to make sure nobody wants to bring a BLM to a fight, knowing how hamstrung the class is. Or am i missing something?

Freeze Transpose Flare Flare Transpose Freeze HThunderII/Foul repeat.

You dont use HB2 to regen MP, the 2500mp from Umbral Ice I is enough to get MP for two Flares.

You don't use HB2 for damage or even stance swapping anymore.
In fact you don't use any form of Fire II or Blizzard II at all now. The potency got reverted to a state where they do less damage than Transposing in and out.

So they ruined BLM to kill non standard rotations and this is the result?

why don't you use Freeze?

Eeesh, here I had my hot bars all nicely worked out, been playing them for 2 years but this is going to give me a headache trying to figure out what to do.

Just noticed B3 doesn't fill MP like it used to... 2 casts seem to fill the bar... there's something else I am missing here.

Most of my hotbar hasn't changed from endwalker to dawntrail, but now in ice phase you basically have to cast blizz 4(or at least its what the devs are trying push, i'm sure folks who are smarter than me about the numbers of the class will try and find a way around it). Switching back into UI with blizz 3 -> blizz 4 should give you all your mp

I actually do a fair amount of 50 content, my lvl 90 rotation includes B4 so nothing should change there. Assume HighFire is no longer used? That frees up another primary hot bar slot (I simply can't do button clicking due to a neurological issue).
