I did this to myself, so I'm not angry. But I wanted to be able to play with friends on another world so I logged off thinking id just have a lower priority in logging in and the world isn't that populated so I knew the queue would die down and then I thought I could log in. My level 1 alt when I try to log in either immediately gets in or there's a queue of 50 people tops. But I still cant log in on my main. I feel like I'm being gaslit, and it won't let me transfer back to own server either.
Literally, my account was hacked from the 23rd to 26th so I wasn't able to return to my home world before maintenance and now they tell us we can still return home only for it not to work.
I tested it out by logging into my alt account on my home world and there wasn't even a queue, yet despite that it keeps telling me returning error.
Yep, the server I logged off of is Malboro and that's where it won't let me log in. But my level 1 alt has no issues logging in instantly, and I can't travel back to cactuar either.
Im locked onto Faerie, cant get back to Exodus, dont want to go back as the people im running MSQ with are all on Faerie.
Currently watching my friends screen share on discord, loads of people are back to AFKing on home cities again... But i cant get on to actually do stuff... Great design choice...
Same in EU server. Really want to get back to my home world, but impossible right now. :(
It's not just you bro. SE flat out recommended people use less congested datacenters to "beat the queues" a day before the game went down.

But if you actually take that advice and head to Dynamis or Materia, you won't be able to return back home when you want to later. You'll get a message like this:

This is despite the queue back home being nearly nonexistent. There is something wrong with the queue priority for returning natives. I think it might've been an oversight. I hope they fix it soon, because I'm seeing loads of travelers on dynamis who took that advice and now they are stuck in the same boat :D
So this is a friendly PSA to everyone. If you're natively from a DC that is "locked" atm and you're tempted to head to Dynamis or Materia to chill with your friends there or maybe skip a nasty queue line later, DON'T DO IT because it's broken atm and you will be stuck there.

I was able to get back, but from what I am reading, it might be just because I am from Dynamis.
I'd assume it's because Dynamis and Oceania are the only DC's not considered congested. Even if the worlds on some of the other DC's have a maximum queue of like 30 people. It's just a soft ban on going anywhere but Dynamis and OCE basically. And a hard ban for anyone who was on a different world or DC than their own that wasnt part of those two.
