Hi SE,
I'm having issue seeing my gil amount after login into Dawntrail as the gil HUD section is blacked out with a black square but if I click on the black square it will open up my currency menu. I tried disabling it and re-enabling it but it's still a small black square. Any ideas how I can fix this please?
UPDATE: I fixed the issue. I had to go to the currency menu and change the gil setting after I disabled the gil in the HUD settings.

I came here to report this. I also had a black square over the gil logo on the hud with no values showing. Clicking the black square opens up the menue. I'll try this fix when I log in again and see if it works.
I got mine back too. Just had to edit the last slot (was the ew tomestone before launch and was blank in the menue after the patch) wonder if that was the issue. It wouldn't load correct because even though it didn't show it the game was still trying to process the old tome which it can no longer display down there.
Came here to report, but found the solution instead. Thanks for posting!
