About the new Graphics Update...

does anyone have any idea if we will have a toggle to choose between old and new graphics? The only reason I play this game is to spend quality time with my significant other, and I only have an HP home laptop that somehow runs Final Fantasy XIV online. I knew the graphics update is coming but I don't see any information about whether we can switch to old/current before Dawntrail graphics or not. I don't have a lot of money to spend to buy a completely new graphics card or PC, but I don't want to stop playing the game either.
However I do hope there is, and it should work like current graphic changer. How we can toggle between low PC and low Laptop changes, But instead it's low (old graphics for PC/laptop) and low (new graphics for PC/Laptop).

Since they updated the graphics requirement for Dawntrail, it is expected for there not to be an old graphics setting. Did you try the benchmark and turn all the settings to low/off?

Likely redundant since you're asking about old graphic settings.

There will be different graphical settings as before, if the benchmark is anything to go by (it includes all the same presets we'll likely see in the live game), but nothing that completely reverts the changes to what they are currently, the way you've proposed. You'll just have to wait and see once the update goes live, but temper your expectations.

I did, it's slightly laggy ofc and my rank was medium but that's been the case for every benchmark uptil endwalker for me, in game right now however the fps is fine, the game is playable even amongst huge ally raids. The only part I fear is not doing well enough in Dungeons and other content with other players after 7.0 because of the new graphics. Imagine 12 catgirls with 2B leggings which are as pixelated as 2b's actual rear in Nier xdd

If your game is playable among the 24 mans you'll probably be fine. Probably have to deal with some load times in highly populated areas but it shouldn't be too much of an issue until you decide to join hunt trains, or maybe Frontline.

Probably want to set this up in System Configuration just in case. Other Settings then under Display Limits - Character and Object Quanitity

Turning names off can help too if you want to do that for high population areas, should be under character settings.
