Dead features

I'm sure there are a lot of features that have gone thrown by the wayside over the years.

I personally would love a revamp of the Grand Companies. They felt like such a missed opportunity, especially for, say, MSQ Trusts.

What feature(s) would yall like to see revived/improved?

Chocobo + pet system

* Side quests useless for job leveling
* Fates useless for job leveling
* Free-cure
* Armoirer not storing tomestone gear and alike
* Marketboard - limited and problematic with undercut automation.
* Mobs dropping crafting resources superseded by fate currency exchange
* Overgrown upgrade/token system for upgrading crafted combat gear (and alike)
* Materia overmelding?

* Majority of MSQ non-voiced in any way (WoW Classic third-party voiceover addon rocks)

They kinda wrote themselves into a corner when the WoL became a "Citizen of the world", I just wish they put the work they've done with trusts into Squadron.

Other features, (and this one pisses me off to no end), put some stuff into Achievements Certificates, they came in with a sob story about new players getting behind on Veteran Rewards, killed VR and proceed to simply abandon Achievement Certificates.

Companions, we have a menu entry that implies we would have multiple companions to choose from and it never amounted to anything?
Throughout the years there were multiple opportunities to use this as:

- Maggie, the Magitek Armor
- Midgarsormr, from HW
- Anima from Anima Weapons quest line
- Alpha, from Omega Questline

Anima is such a sting, since the flavor text from the minion is:

'"Ardashir fashioned this new body utilizing the anima's original soulstone. No longer limited to the immediate vicinity of the anima weapon, it is free to explore the realm at your side. Whether it will grow to become a real boy or girl, however, remains to be seen."

Grand Companies and Squadron are one big thing I'd hope they get back to.
Belts could come back as some kind of fashion accessory.

What I miss most though is ear slots for Miqo'te hats. I still think the best hats are from the ARR content and had so much love in the designs.

As for improved stuff.
I think the jobspecific emotes like "victory" and "battle ready" could be build upon for easy and fine job identity.
The improvements to the weapon draws were really great and I would like more of that.
Don't know how hard that would be for so many jobs though.

Grand Companies
Guildhests (these could quite as easily be that expansion to the Hall of Novice people keep wanting)
Blue Mage - This job needs to be given more love in solo content such as PotD and HoH. I literally don't care, they're perfectly capable of granting immunities, they have already done so with a lot of dungeon bosses, some dungeon trash, FATEs, raids, trial bosses etc., - So there is little no reason.
Unreal (I am putting this here because even though it is progressively updated it is still something that contradicts from what they outlined) - Unreal was meant to be so you could experience old trials when they were 'on-content' so to speak. However, functionally this is still very limited.
FATEs - boss-level overworld FATEs should be the norm, in my opinion.
Hunts - Should IMO be related to the above on FATEs
Scrip system and attainment of crafted gear - This has grown so monotonous over the year, that it is just something in the content cycle with very little substance.
Master recipe attainment - There's a LOT they could do here.
Glamour system - In my opinion this should just be a check-list. I can understand this is a great deal of data to pull server-side though.

I would love if some stuff from ARR gets revitalized.

Grand companies content
Fighting Chocobo / fighting pets content
A more complex Hunt/reward system
Bring Squadrons to Trust level. I would replace the Scions with my customized squad in a second.

The hunt log from ARR has a dedicated button and no use whatsoever when completed

Chocobo, Grand companies, Hunting logs, Squadrons

Guildhests, they were kind of an additional tutorial for combat. Supposed to teach you about silly things like kill orders for mobs and paying attention to the boss and the arena.
