I feel like Dance of the Dawn should not cost 50 Esprit and should just be an ability that becomes available since when you start a fight and use Technical Step you are not going to have 50 Esprit.

You know that you're gonna get 50 esprit very fast with Devilment right? Even in 4 man instances I've had at least one Sabre Dance during openers... This is not exactly like BRD and coda that require a whole rotation to unlock.
I’m assuming this is referring to Dancer’s new ‘use-after-120s-cd’ attack literally every job in the game got?
From my understanding with things like that when it has a resource cost they actually ‘calculate’ what amount it needs for it to always be up when ‘needed’.
Like how Apex Arrow always hits 100 at around 60 seconds so there’s one mini burst and it’s always closing in to 100 when Minuet burst is ready (unless you took too long to use it and only get to like 70 by Minuet plz don’t judge me lol).
Funnily I’ve actually noticed the same Summoner’s Phoenix. The cool-down is timed in such a way that when summoned it almost always comes out right either right before, or right after an aoe from the boss. (Though that’s probably like 90% confirmation bias) lol.
Maybe I’m giving the devs waaaaay too much credit lol, but I think with things like this they really do take the time to make sure it’s gonna be available when it needs to be. Usually lol
