CS maddness! (auto skip CS's)

You enter DH you get a CS and lose 30 secs. Chance of crash

You enter AV and CS steals 30 secs. Chance of crash

You enter CC and CS takes 30 secs. Chance of crash.

Ifrit garuda and moogles CS and chance of crash.

Hamlet CS with chance of crash

Leave city with choco CS.

Use elevator get CS.


So can we get a option to auto skip CS's we've already seen before?

So people seem to think this is about instanced areas. I have the choco and elevator CS's up there as well. Its not about the crashing its about watching the same CS over and over again and skipping them makes you hit esc esc up then enter. They could streamline the skip feature but then people may skip a CS by mistake. I'm asking for a option in config to auto skip CS's we've seen before for us that way if you want to watch them you can but if not you have auto skip. Making it so that if you haven't seen the CS before it plays it no matter what would make sure no one misses any important story CS.

Or not start the actual instance till everyone skips/watches like with AF fights?

or makes it so the cutscene doesnt cut into instance time, might be as simple as adding 30 seconds to the instance timers

Or just auto skip so we don't have to skip a CS every time we enter AV/CC/Garuda/Ifrit/Moogle/DH/Hamlet. Not to mention crashing after hamlet means you don't get drops cause at least when your in a pick up.

Just addressing dungeons and not primals, an alternative would be to divide up dungeons into two type of runs

a) raiding run (similar to xp/current speed runs) (no c/s's or story at all). Rewards for these runs would of course be xp and chance of drops.

b) story based run (mission/repeatable quest/levequest? runs) (implement more and longer CSs throughout the dungeon for all those RP buffs). rewards for these runs would be xp and GC seals. (of course make the story dynamic sort of like a pick your own adventure book so you dont get the same CSs at every location so people dont get bored quick)

I'm sure there would be a lot of interst in story based seal runs as much as DL speed runs ;x

Why not have both? A tab in the config options saying "Skip all cs" and then you'll just have to wait outside while I watch/skip.

We're both happy then, right?

Optimize the game before adding this, imo. Game crashing seems to be the main focus here...so fix that problem instead of covering it up.

Don't worry, since we're getting quest chaining progression there won't be any cutscenes outside of the main storyline. They need to make this game as boring as possible.

Yea this was what I was suggesting but I wrote this late at night so I think I worded it poorly. I'll fix it.
