Most people probably don't care, but some of us do. I don't mind if I have to replay the first 15 levels to get caught up on the story of that city-state if the devs think that's necessary, I can personally handwaive it easily enough and mentally retcon any incongruities when it comes to plot coherency. I just want to change it, however it is done.
Seconded. My city-state is Ul'dah, but 7 years later I don't want anything to do with it. I don't have a house, fc house, grand company, or anything there. It's my least favorite city-state, so it's annoying to have on my character sheet.
Also because Balmung and it's really horrible having to load back in there every time you DC travel these days.
