Please, Voice Acting for Dawntrail Raids

To clarify, I mean the cutscenes, of course not ALL the cutscenes, but definitely the most impactful ones.

To explain why I think it'd be a good idea, I just saw a clip of Themis later on in the EW raids speaking with actual voice acting and my jaw dropped. I'm so used to seeing these bombastic sights and cutscenes in raids only to have it be completely silent, but Themis hit me like a sack of bricks in the best way possible.
I was honestly expecting at least one scene to be voiced from the EW 24 man, but nope, not even this world's Gods can get some voice acting.

So please, pretty please, consider voice acting the Raids in DT, it makes scenes so much more memorable and impactful, and lacking voice acting on such realm shattering events feels so cheap.

The only reason I can think SE doesn't voice act the Raids is cause they're worried the money will go down the drain, but tons and tons and TONS of people do the raids in this game! Not everyone just does the MSQ, the money used on voice acting would be well spent, especially given they'd need comparatively few lines compared to the whole MSQ. The scene with Themis was so good and it wasn't even the most impactful scene in Pandaemonium.

I doubt SE will see this post, but if enough people clamour about wanting voice acting here and else's where, they might consider it.

There are English VAs for FFXIV, and then there is Matt Stokoe, who is leagues above all of them. I couldn't even imagine anyone else doing Elidibus/Themis, who I consider to be the WoL's true arch-nemesis.

That being said, I do agree and I enjoy hearing VAs during battle with the game's canonically strongest opponents. All four of the bosses of the final floor of Pandemonium had wonderful VAs that brought immersion to those fights. Myths of the Realm had them too, with Halone and Llymlaen being some of the most memorable. I'm sure they will continue this trend going forward. Don't worry.

Seems I didn't clarify enough in my original post, I meant more voice acting for the cutscenes, given how story driven the raids are, I'll go back and edit that into my post.

Though your reply highlights why voiced cutscenes would be such a nice addition, because the voiced fights are so good it's a shame to only hear the VA in fights.

Agreed. I've made a post about the matter before here, but the game really needs to increase the amount of voice acting, at least in key duties like dungeons, trials and normal and alliance raids.

Voicing some cutscenes from the Pandaemonium and Myths of the Realm series would have enhanced their narrative power, and it makes no sense they were not considering all the bosses were, yet for some reason G'raha and Deryk were not within the raids themselves except the last one...

While it's obvious more work on their part, it'd also enhance and elevate the quality of the game by a lot.

Could've been my bad, but thanks for the clarification. Iirc, the initial cutscenes for myths of the realm did feature VAs. I was expecting each subsequent chapter of the series to feature the other members of the twelve as we progressed and it was not to be. It would have been great to hear what Omega sounded like instead of my perceived Steve Hawking voice box thanks to the Red vs. Blue animated series. Sadly, many bosses of the raids have no encounters outside of combat. VA employment is also quite pricey, and there are also time constraints with the majority of them. It would be great to hear them more, but chances are we will need to be happy with what we get.

Its also silly to go and get someone to voice the fights only for no voicing during the cutscenes... yes, i know its a lot of languages but still... it adds so much and its there for ever, after 10 years people will still do those raids and enjoy em.

And i think we all know plenty people wo go by "if its not voiced ill just skip!" as they think its not important... which is sad, since some stories were amazing AND used voices that were currently involved in the MSQ anyways... (Eden needed like what? One additional voice?) Werlyt was one of the best stories they ever wrote, yet, no voicing at all...

Especially the part where you talk to each of them individually… obviously they could leave out our character names in the voice scripts, but I would’ve loved to have VA for those!

I’d like to see more cutscenes with voice acting than just text in general. It really makes the story feel more alive!

More voice acting would cripple square enix stocks, it's too much of a cost.
