Got that too, on Chaos Datacenter. Thought it was from me, because other players in my FC had no problems, so I began to check fixes for packet loss (because it looks like that), tried the basic things (restart my box, check my connection, etc...). I was beginning to think I should check with my ISP when people began to talk about having the same problem since this morning but living in other countries (I'm from Belgium), so I'm not sure it has to do with my ISP anymore.
Yes, game's been unplayable all day. It's kind of worse than the DDoS disconnects. At least those are intermittent, this is just constant.
it seems that not everyone is getting a those lag spikes was in a alliance rolleute and i was getting constant lag every 5-10 seconds. Everyone freezes for 2 or 3 seconds then moves alone i did asked in the alliance chat and not everybody was getting those lag skip but a lot of them did.
just played yesterday and everything was fine then
I was in the Labyrinth of the ancients and all the characters were running-stop-running-stop ... so I thought that was something wrong with my connection, but it seems that I'm not the only one.
I'm from Spain, not the UK and I play in Light.
Has been like this the last 2-3 hours.
I heard complaints about it in NN but it seems some people are having it and others not. I'm not having issues. Alternatively when I was having issues the people I asked seemed fine. I just kinda gave up for that night and went to do something else.
Maybe a node is struggling? I'm not from UK tho
I’ve been seeing a lot since the last maintenance… especially any time I set foot in the Gold Saucer with the event bringing so many people there, and doing Frontline on 2 different characters last night was a challenge.
Not sure if they have a bad NTT (SE’s ISP) node again… haven’t done a traceroute lately, but I have frequent problems with the San Jose and Sacramento nodes acting up. It’ll be fine for a few weeks, then start lagging up again.
I will say this doesn’t seem like the same kind of lag though… the node issues tend to give me more of a stutter, rubber band lag effect. This lag almost feels like things are going in slow motion. Though I notice I’m having button input delays in both situations.
Edited to add: I’m in NA/Crystal (playing from NE US)
it seems to be fixed now at least for me, i'm not getting spikes anymore unless i did something at my end before playing again though i don't believe that i did :P
