I think I've figured out Monk
After careful analysis of the Job Action Trailer, this is what I think they're going to do with Monk:
- Forms will keep being the same, so Opo-Opo > Raptor > Couerl > Opo-Opo;
- Dragon Kick grants 1 pink ball, Twin Snakes grants 2 purple balls, Demolish grants 3 blue balls;
- Bootshine consumes 1 pink ball, True Strike consumes 1 purple ball, Snap Punch consumes 1 blue ball;
- Having a gcd to consume a ball makes it deal more damage, so 1 gcd of a specific form fills balls and the other consumes balls until it's empty;
- Putting all this information together, the combo sequence will be like this:
Dragon Kick > Twin Snakes > Demolish >
Bootshine > True Strike > Snap Punch >
Dragon Kick > True Strike > Snap Punch >
Bootshine > Twin Snakes > Snap Punch >
Dragon Kick > True Strike > Demolish >
Bootshine > True Strike > Snap Punch >
Dragon Kick > Twin Snakes > Snap Punch >
Bootshine > True Strike > Snap Punch
Where before was:
Dragon Kick > Twin Snakes > Demolish >
Bootshine > True Strike > Snap Punch >
Dragon Kick > Twin Snakes > Snap Punch >
Bootshine > True Strike > Demolish >
Dragon Kick > Twin Snakes > Snap Punch >
Bootshine > True Strike > Snap Punch >
So basically, they changed the sequence from 2-2-3 to 2-3-4, increasing the number of buttons by 6 (or 2 full combos) before you get to the loop. And to be honest I quite like this. But of course, this is all speculation. What do you think?
