FFXI: my favorites... CoP was Amazing, bring back that kind of feeling plz.

FFXIV:
Well i like the landscap etc, but the music dosent fit in like it should...or atleast thats how i feel about it.

FFXIV needs more zones, with almost thier won theme for each, even if its a cave or dungeon.
Copy & Paste music for dungeons...thats not a very good thing.
So i got high hopes for future expansions.
(But it can never be FFXI, wich im fine with...but it shouldnt be less either)

Castrum Nova theme however..... is freakin awesome.
Not to mention Mor Dhona's theme.
Nathalan got a pretty badass theme too.
Oh and the U'Ghamaro Mines theme is freakin sick too.

now that i think of it, all this new music that been added since 2.0
announcement has been awesome lol, im even more hyped now about 2.0 :D
With respect to Nobuo Uematsu, please bring back the wonders of Naoshi Mizuta's music etc. ^-^

Nice choices, Acacia... my favourites from FFXI and FFX|V have always been the following (list of my top five for both games in descending order):

FFXI Songs
Loved "Voyager" since back when I was a bewildered lvl 20+ on FFXI and had jumped on the Selbina-Mhuara boat

Second place would have be Bahamuts' "Storms of fate" theme... (awesome fight as well)

Third place would have to be Divine Might (Full song here)... (I seriously hope we have something like this in FFXIV)

Fourth is the FFXI Tribune Newspaper song (loved reading this btw)

Last would be the Alexander battle (Epic battle and an epic story that's almost as great as CoP + Zilart)

FFX|V Songs
For FFX|V, my favourite would actually be the Gobbue theme song... very fitting, very soothing. Love it.

Second would be Cid's theme... perfect for the noble core of his character, totally perfect.

Third would be the theme for U'Ghamaro Mines (strangely makes me think of Movalpolos in FFXI)

Fourth would be this battle song for Castrum Novum (totally agree with you, Funky and Yoshikwalla)

Last would definitely be the Caravan Escape song... has an urgency to it that amps the situation. Great composition.

That one's actually titled The Ruler of the Skies. Storms of fate is the LS fighting him.

From FFXI I'd say either the Besieged music (just for nostalgia purposes) or Repression.

For FFXIV, I'm going to have to agree with:
United We Stand

Edit: It should be noted that these are my choices for most memorable songs. There are some absolutely beautiful ambient pieces in both games, I'm quite partial to Gustaburg (Live) for instance.
