Dispaly settings getting messed up while tabbed out.

So, I play full screen and when I tab out to look at Discord or look something up online, it typically minimizes to about the size of my discord window as shown in these images

Now, my issue is that lately, if I'm tabbed out while waiting on duty finder and the queue pops, the game window becomes the primary window and changes places and size and the next time I tab out, it looks like this

In game, none of the settings themselves have changed, and in order to fix this issue and get the window back to how it is before it does this weird thing, I have to revert my settings to default, apply it, and then manually go back and fix my settings so it's full screen and crisp.

I can't find a setting that causes the game to become the focus when tabbed out if the duty pops, so I have no idea what is happening. Any ideas?

do you have the currect resolution set in FFXIV system settings?
Please try use borderless fullscreen, as its better for alt-tabbing out of games.
Game runs better with this.

The resolution is whatever best fits my monitor, and I can't do borderless windowed (there is no borderless fullscreen option) because then I can't access things on my desktop if I tab out (like if I want to share a screenshot with someone cause I typically just drag and drop the image onto Discord).

I've never had this issue before, and nothing has changed with my computer.

EDIT: I think I've figured it out! I think the issue is with my computer's graphical settings itself. I never had this issue before but I also used to play on a laptop and only recently got my own pc tower and desktop. When I first started playing on my desktop, something weird happened when NVIDIA had some driver updates that had caused the game to be sized to a TV instead of my desktop, so I think it's that again cause I recently had another driver update

You should access your desktop files in borderless fullscreen mode when pressing Win+D while you can change between Apps with Alt+Tab.
