Can you make it more obvious than you don't care about Europe?

In the course of 2 weeks we had :

- The removal of the most used payment methods for both France and Germany.
- It's the only area that did not get an acknowledgement of the visa debit problem, while the problem also exist there.
- [edited] For 12 hours, after the 07/05 update, most players could not log into Chaos, and there was no communication about it. If that happened in Japan or even the US, and SE would have reacted faster [/edited].

But yeah, saltiness apart, this feel like late 90's SquareSoft, when Europe was the third wheel. I thought we were over that. Something has to be done with the communication for Europe.

"Most players". I know that depending of the character, it might work. I have someone in my FC that can log with his main, but not any of his alts. But most of my FC can't get into the game at all. So yeah, if it works for you, good for you, but that doesn't mean there isn't a problem that needs to be, at least, recognized.

Issues happen and it doesn't mean SE don't care about you and don't recognize the problem.

Btw I couldn't log in yesterday at all, so I just decided to play something else. Not a big deal.

Wait, what happened on Chaos? Genuinely curious.

I am able to login with 2 of my characters on Chaos Louisoix, but my main who I logged out on in Shirogane gets error 90002 on PC or 10105 on PS5 after a long loading screen with Moogle in bottom right corner.

It kinda does mean they don't recognize the problem it's been documented for 2 weeks, has been recognized on Japan and the US for one, but still no words about it for the EU, despite having dozen of european players reporting that same problem on the forum (honestly, today's problem is not that important compared to the 2 others, it's just the cherry on top). But the accumulation draws a very bad picture.

It also kinda mean they don't care when they remove the most used payment method of 2 countries that HAVE a localization. It's just such a stupid move "yeah, our game is in your language, but now most of you cannot pay your sub anymore because we removed the payment method that you all use". It's either a deliberate choice to sacrifice European market, either an awful strategical decision that show how out of touch they are (my guess is on the second one - and that's coming from someone that's not really impacted by this change, I'm neither French nor German, but still can see how this is a very bad move).

I think its nothing more than incompetence. My theory is that they found out that they could switch to a cheaper payment processor, didn't check that it supported all the payment methods their users need, and realized their mistake after the contract was signed.

I doubt that has much to do with it. The most likely change is they had to switch to a more restrictive processor because of the number of charge backs from hacked accounts and or stolen credit cards used for rmt accounts.
That has a real impact on the financial side of things. Companies tend to really dislike changing anything to do with payments and would only do so if forced.
