Purchased Dawntrail on Steam. One key, or two (or does the second appear later)?

I just purchased Dawntrail, via Steam. (If I could turn back time six years I would never have gone the Steam route with FFXIV, but that's besides the point).

In my CD keys there is one entry for Dawntrail - pre-purchase Bonus Content.
For Shadowbringers and Endwalker, there are TWO sets of keys, the other being Standard Edition Content.

I forget - does that second key show up later, after the expansion drops, or is something funky with my account?

I got mine on steam but haven't got the second key yet so I'd assume so.

Thanks, that's good to know. I just can't remember how it worked with past expansions, I just know I have two keys per.

Yeah last time i got two keys for Endwalker (I don't remember if it was at the same time or not though), I'm assuming it will come later, I'm sure it will be fine I noticed that i only got one key and got a bit worried at first a while back, but I'm pretty sure it will come later, I talked to friends who weren't on steam and they got one code.

Hopefully more people will confirm too but I'm sure it's fine

The first one was just the pre-order code that gives you access several days early and a pre-order minion/earring.

The second one shows up later, around the official release date of July 2nd. Note I said "official release date". Don't expect it to be there during early access necessarily.

You will need to make sure it is entered into the account when you see it available on July 2nd so that your gameplay isn't interrupted, since without the code you could lose access to the expansion areas suddenly and be unable to login to your character without visiting a random world server.

Most retailers will email the code, but for Steam it should just be in the CD keys.

Just not yet, so the fact that I (and others) only see one for now is normal. Right?

It will show up right on the 2nd of July (I use Steam, too) which is the actual release date.

You can play Dawntrail on the 28th of June so don't worry, the Preorder code you see in the CD keys list unlocks the Early Access for you.

Correct; the second email typically comes around the official release date that is in this case July 2nd, so that's when I'd expect it to show in Steam.
