I've played this game for years and didn't have this error at all. And then two days ago it just started out of the blue.
What I have done so far and have not had any success.
1: Clean install GPU Drivers
2: Clean install FFXIV
3: Clean Window Boot
4: Install on a different drive.
I've had zero luck nothing seems to fix this issue at all. I know it has something to do with Directx 11.
Some assistance would be great.
If you're assuming it's DirectX 11 due to the error message that says "ffxiv_dx11.exe", that's just the game's filename. It's not necessarily a DirectX 11 crash.
Unfortunately, FFXIV suffers crashes from a myriad of sources. I've gone months without any problems and then suddenly I'll get 3 crashes in a week.
Underclocking my GPU has been the only thing that actually made a difference for me. XIV doesn't play well with overclocks.
Well this is stupid because I can't play at all. My GPU isn't overclock at all. I'll just lower it for no other reason to see if that works.

What Platform are you using? (Steam/Windows/Mac/etc.)
Does the issue occur with one character or multiple characters?
At what point does the issue occur? Is it at the same point every time or random?
How often does the issue occur?
Could you provide the exact error message received?
Are you running any additional programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?
When the crash happens, is the PC over heating at all?
Were any update or changes made to the PC around the time of the crash?
Does this issue occur if the game is run in full screen mode? Does it happen in borderless or windowed mode?
Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.
