Auto discard

I was helping a friend with a mount farm and I got 17 lunar totems
I have no need or want for this item so it would be great if we could select item and add them to a auto discard list.

So you don't have to remember after helping people or doing WT to toss a bunch of items.

IE right click auto discard
With a menu where you can add and remove them if you change your mind.
With more and more items this would be helpfull.

I honestly feel the reason they don't do this is not only is it easy to just drop an item so why take the time to code something like this in, test it and fix any bugs it causes, but then they are going to be bombarded with ppl saying, "omg I have been farming X mount/glam/weapon for weeks! months! years! and it finally dropped but I had auto dicard on. Please SE make X and Y items exempt from autodiscard! its not my fault I had auto discard on! SE your system is broken!"

I wouldn't mind an auto-discard item. But frankly, the thing I want most is a darned overflow vault. Nothing sucks more than realizing the thing you wanted couldn't be acquired because you have too much junk in your inventory that keeps auto-depositing itself.

I have it with old raids that I get through normal raids. Everytime I do normal raid roulette I get some kind of upgrade from 5+ years ago that I can't even use because I'd need several.
It only takes 5 seconds to discard, but the seconds are adding up through the years :p

Obviously, anything you rolled on, or purchased gets ignored by the autodiscard. This is a deliberate player action to obtain a certain item.

The only case where a new exception needs to take place is when you are solo in a duty, instead of rolling it now would auto accept everything, and here you could make it so it will still force the window for rolling. But if you dont roll and leave it gets discarded. This means any item can always still be accepted.

Personaly i think the totems themselve are anoying in the way it doesnt reveal whether you have the mount yet. Sure, if you got a full expansion done its easy, but plenty dont have that. If they could get a flag indicating that you already obtained the mount tied to it, it would help a lot. Maybe on its hover message showing a few icons of purchasable item (and in this case always doing mount and weapon of current job). Its not failproof, but it still helps.

This though. Instead of "Unable to obtain [item]" and having it drop to the void because your inventory was full, the item should go into a personal loot pool so you have a few seconds to discard or consume something.

Mobius Final Fantasy (Rip) Had a system that allowed you to flag Items/Cards you do not want for Auto Discard.

Something like that would surely be helpful here too.

A feature like this would be nice for crafting/gathering collectibles and be able to discard all rather then 140 inventory slots individually.

In eureka , today I tossed 4 of the items needed to expand my logogram trays I'm capped at 6 these items have no other use I would love to never get them again.
