People who recently lost accounts to a scam

I was flipping thru tabs and seen a few topics about people who lost their accounts to that ongoing scam.

You do know that on lodestone and the screen where you hit play is a topic section with a big old warning.

Now the recent variant I got was a link to discord but still the same message. Plus to be honest, if some random pms you out of the blue...DONT TRUST IT. Even if it's a friend still don't unless you asked them for a link.

While I understand the allure of a 300mil giveaway. It's obviously too good to be true. Be smart and question stuff. Ask in the community. Heck a simple shout in limsa would have revealed its a scam.

Now, I'm sorry a few of you got hit but take this as a lesson on what not to trust and spread word. If you are lucky then square should have locked your accounts for you to contact them to recover.

The year is 2048. People still fall for obvious scams.

The people who actually frequent the forums are unlikely to fall for this. It is a scam that targets new and casual players unaware that these scams are a thing.
