So, what's the excuse for not being able to explorer mode Alliance raids?

Basically that

Alliance raids have some of the prettiest and original places to gpose

Dun scaith final boss arena is one of the best in the game thanks to the moon and tower

Ivalice in general has a great aesthetic

Nier surprisingly gets a bit limited on it's third and can access the first one from the overworld

And myths of the realm, Eurosphine it's beautiful, but due to the fast exchange between areas it's kind of hard to try do anything

So, why after so long we still cannot explorer mode these?

Rather than a complaint it's a genuine question on just, what's stopping them from adding said function to alliances, even more so i'd think the demand would be a bit up

I don't think there's a specific reason so much as they haven't allocated resources (Dev time is a resource) for them. They wanted to focus on dungeons and based on the fact that dungeons got it in batches, it seems there's more to it than flicking a switch on.

Without knowing what Dev work exactly is needed to make a duty explorer mode compatible, it's hard to say if there's an actual reason we don't have explorer mode for alliance raids and I don't think they've ever stated a reason. It might just be having the time available in the development schedule.

I'd love to have it though, I'm in full agreement with you there so for now our best bet is to keep asking for it.

I’d really love to have the last stage of Thaleia open to Explorer mode, especially the part where the sky gets dark… not like I can gpose during a duty! lol

I've been wanting it for Orbonne for years. I wonder if we'll get it in Dawntrail as they're finally done redoing stuff for the old dungeons?

I suspect that in combination with the queuing for explorer mode being handled like a standard duty, alliance raid zones might suffer the same limitation that Party Finder parties encounter: it expects an alliance and will not let you in unless you have at least one person in each party.

I too assume its to do with explorer mode being a special version of unsync
but i would love it tho Weeping city,dun scaith,Orbone etc etc would be incredible with explorer mode
