HQ system still really sucks

Spend a few hours gathering HQ mats. Spend a few more hours crafting HQ mats and this is what followed.

1st.) Synth went great - 91% HQ chance - had to double down and it failed.
2nd.) Synth went okay - 79% HQ chance - had to double down and if failed.
3rd.) Constant fails during synth and 2 elemental instabilities - 65% HQ chance - had to double down but succeeded.
4th.) Synth went better and 85% HQ chance - had to double down and it failed.
5th.) Synth was horrible but had 100 free quality and 2 lucky successful synths - 58% HQ chance - Successful +1.
6th.) Synth went great again - 89% HQ chance - had to double down and it failed.

Proceeded to single meld both of them then failed both double melds at 29% chance of success.

I'm sorry, but how the frack do you beat this RNG boss, I lose every time. I'm pretty shocked I haven't failed a 100% chance given my luck.

Lady luck can be feirce at times, but please don't think SE has some vendeta out against you it's a numbers game and you don't always win even if the odds are in your favor.

double down at 20~40% seems to work better for me than double down 70~90%. at 80% it usualy auto hq's so i agree it sucks even tho i get benifit from it.

Oh, no, I understand it's luck based. That's what I don't like. This whole game is all luck.

Well that's not entirely true. It's all RNG. You can get 99% and still have to double down and then you can fail that double down same as you can get 1% and HQ first try.

It's such a shame that rare, valuable gear is so hard to come by, isn't it.

I have a ls member that says he has had better luck in the 60% range then the 80%

Yeah I can understand that. I agree with Jynx but sometimes when you feel you have it np It manages to just blow up in your face. On flip note sometimes I'm like at 10-20% and it goes ahead and HQ.. Double down.. I just down right hate. Lady Luck doesn't like me at that point.

Sample size is the only relevant factor. Would you test accuracy, hit on two of six swings. Stopping at six swings. And then proceed to ask how to beat it?

If this is another thread complaining about RNG being a factor at all. I'm not touching that.
