Unable to advance past Play screen

Details: I can log in when FFXIV boot is launched, but the game will not advance past the play screen, this has only been occuring since the servers came back online March 25. Prior to that had no issues logging in.

Steps:Tried game reinstall, verified router and firewall settings were correct. Still no change.

Date & Time:
March 25, 7am EST, til present

Frequency:
always

Could you be more specific with what error you are getting when you hit play?

There is no error code, I simply cannot advance past the Play screen. I click the play button and nothing happens, though it is not truely frozen as the update page button will refresh the screen and clicking cancel closes the window.

Clear your internet browser cache. On all of your browsers.

The CCleaner utility works well for this.

Try lowering your security settings in Internet Explorer, and make sure java scripts are enabled.

And also set the ffxivgame.exe file is to run as administrator.

Check that you have your most recent video drivers. But that probably doesn't have anything to do with it.

Done, was java was alreeady enabled and game is run as administrator. Video drivers are up to date, no change still.

Do you have a java update pending?

/think.. I know I heard of someone else with this problem a long time ago but I couldn't find that post.

Run Ccleaner on both your apps and registry, for good measure. If you haven't already. You might also try an ipconfig /flushdns from your command prompt.

Then restart your PC
