F Viera Face 2 Benchmark Lip Textures

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I apologize if this isn't the right place. I want to bring attention to the textures on female Viera face 2.

In my opinion, the lips look worse in the benchmark than they do in the current game. It's like the textures are even more low resolution. They don't line up with the mouth properly either, and the shadows look very weird no matter what lighting I put them in.

For example,

With light lip color:

It just feels like a huge downgrade. I was really disappointed that my WoL looked so low-quality compared to the other three faces. I hope this is just benchmark testing stuff and won't be carried over to the official game release.

Yeah, that actually looks really bad. Viera already profited from better-looking textures despite being the same resolution so I have no idea why they brought them back to ARR quality on that face.

It's like they just upscaled the low-res textures and slapped them on the new mesh. ;_; I've noticed the issue on my face 5 female Midlander as well. Kind of let down...

I've noticed that as well. Faces 1 and 3 look fine, but 2 and 4 got a downgrade.

It's not even the low res version, it's like they removed the original detail from the lips and made them look incredibly flat.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. My character feels flat now. I really hope they'll consider feedback before Dawntrail officially launches... They fixed the male Viera scoliosis last minute, so surely this isn't out of the question?

Face 1 here. My lips look COMPLETELY different and lower quality than before. They're not even the same damn shape.

Overall completely unhappy with the way they look in the benchmark. Back to the drawing board, SE.

Lips aside they also pretty much downgraded eyelashes all across the board for viera.

Like how is this an upgrade at all? Dead eyes, lightened eyebrows and mushy as hell eyelashes.

Updating to add an image re: the texture not lining up with the lips. It's especially noticeable during any kind of expression, in any lighting that isn't blinding enough to sunder shadows from existence (i.e Gridania):

A shame that this face only looks even remotely decent in the aetherial sea anymore. Still hoping that it won't be permanent in Dawntrail. ;_;
