sometimes when i alt-tab, my entire computer slows down despite none of my disk or cpu usage shooting up at all, then goes back to normal after around 3-7 seconds depending. not too sure what the issue would be if anyone could help, will provide specs if asked.

Please try the following:
- Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and sound drivers (if applicable).
- Please try lowering the resolution.
- We would recommend double checking the in-game settings, you may try capping/limiting the FPS and/or checking to see if the game limits the FPS when the game is inactive.
- Please try running the game as an administrator.
- Please be sure that Final Fantasy XIV is installed to the C: Drive. (If Steam version, make sure both the game and Steam are installed on same drive)
- Please be sure to disable or remove any overlays (Discord, Steam, NVIDIA etc.) as they may interfere with startup.
- Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.
