Thoughts On: "Transmute Materia" SAVAGE and place "transmute" npc in towns.

I was thinking that SE should create a "final tier" of Materia XI that can ONLY be acquired by transmuting Materia X into XI (Or IX at lower % of success). Buy, find, transmute lower tier to X then "savage" XI.

If implemented, I'd also suggest a new NPC place within main towns and capitals to do so rather than the NPC at black brush.

Why?
Does there exist some reason why you think this would be a good thing to add to the game? What reason would that be?

Sure, I have 3 main reasons. Firstly, I have tons and tons of "battle" materia. Yes, I can sell for chump change, but If I as a player dont need them or buy them and just get via normal play VS. gathering & Crafting(the worst). Second, when was the last time materia was updated? I'd rather burn through my tier IX and X to get a "rare" XI, then sell them for 100-500gill each. And think about it, Materia price would rise in those tier and become more in demand.

considering how redundant materia feels, i kinda agree.

but they really need to rework the transmuting process to not be such a tedious process as it is now.

i would also like to see materia not become useless in lower content , when ever your character downsynches materia gets disabled.

But what do you have in mind when you say "rare XI"?

Considering the normal XIs should be going for at least 10-15k gil each once the raid starts, it sounds like you're trying to design a worse system.

Right now, you do have to hold your Xs until 7.0 starts but then you can transmute away all you like. And transmuting IXs into DoH/DoL IXs should still be worth good gil even with all the cowries people have to buy crafting/gathering materia.

Transmute is better now that it was originally. You can mass transmute the same materia but have a lower chance of getting the ones you want.

If they gave us the ability to mass transmute a mixed set, I would be very happy indeed.

Well it could be Materia XI is just the next level of +X buff, or maybe current +36 PLUS "random" additional +X buff?
