Please add in a Raid Progress flags for Party Finder

Dear Reader,

I would like to suggest that the developers deeply consider adding a "progress flag" to savage content, especially after first phase of the 4th floor in each raid tier.

I started raiding in Endwalker on Gaia/Mana, and have been consistently seeing player falsely advertising their raid progress in PF. At first I only join/recruit party the matches my progress, but soon realizes many people put in false information, and I ended up wasting time wiping over and over on mechanics I already learned.

And in the end I started writing/joining PF that is further than my actual progress so I can at the very least get some practice in.

While I understand maybe in the past people have been nice enough to join party that matches their level of progress, "PF Fraud" is very real and to my understanding is a negative feedback loop, and this practice will continue to spread or worsen unless there is a system that help fix it.

We have a wonderful system in place for those who have already completed the duty...but no protection for those who just want to beat the content with people who took the time to practice. At the very least, on long fights like P4/P8/P12S, please consider this option to let PF limit joining users to have cleared phase 1.

Not against it, just I feel bosses would have to get reworked to show clear distinctions between phases, otherwise what determines each phase (outside of obvious boss form switches)?

What does it mean to "clear" phase 1?

Does it count if the rest of my party drags my corpse through to the end? Does it count if I accidentally got the mechanics correct more often than not? Does it count if I squeak by because the healers and tanks put a heroic amount of effort into keeping me alive?

That's the problem. Just because I've "cleared" a phase doesn't mean I'm ready to start progging the next one. The flag would need to somehow capture the idea that I can reliably clear the phase.

This is a cool idea on paper that wouldn't work very well.

Consider the Ultimate Coil of Bahamut (UCoB), known for its numerous Trio phases. If the flag were set to simply "Phase 3," you might inadvertently invite players who have only progressed to the Backfire Trio phase to join your party, despite you being on the Grand Octet phase. Therefore, the filter would be ineffective unless it could be sorted by individual mechanics.

This would be great for some fights. When you get past limit cut in p9s, when you kill the doorboss in any final turn, when you pass any phase transition in ultimate, you could see a message in the chat log "Checkpoint flag reached". Maybe you were dead when you got there but at least there is proof that you've made some progress in the fight. And then when hosting a PF you can limit the ability of prog liars to join your group and exploit your goodwill.

However, it would have an effect of diluting PFs, so it should be implemented with care.

The community has been developing their own equivalent to this, called Tomestone, which has the potential to make the PF environment very toxic. I think an officially implemented version could head off some potential drama and reduce the dependency on 3rd party tools.

When I talked about the progression flag/checkpoint, it is meant to be the phase transition with cutscenes.
I believe in NA it is called the door boss? in each of the 4th floor of raid tier. P4S/P8S/P12S. When you drop the boss HP under a certain percentage, a cutscene will play and the boss hp will reset to 100%, as well as the timer for the duty.

I would think it should be fairly straightforward to implement a "part 1 cleared" flag here, and this would alleviate the PF Fraud if just by a little bit. Right now there is no way to stop someone who is new to P12S, to join a group of people trying to prog Phase 2.

And I dont want to blacklist people unless I can really identify 100% they're doing party fraud.. Bad days, pair mechanics, body checks occurs often in game ><

Even Duty Complete doesn't guarantee you that people will not wipe to previous prog points so I don't see the point of all this. eg. Even those who cleared UWU will still meme Titan. This seems very unnecessary.

If you want consistency, play with the same group.

Duty Complete exists for a reason. Indeed anyone can make mistakes, even someone with 100 totems, but the Duty Complete flag was implemented because it provides some assurance in the ability of players joining your party. It's totally reasonable to want to filter those who join your PF, and this would just be an extension of the already existing Duty Complete functionality.
