Favorite Type of Zone
This thread is about what would be one of your favorite type zones you would like to see be added to ffxiv.
My all time favorite zone out of all the games I have played is xcabard from ffxi. I love the snow, the music and the mystery that was xcabard from when I first arrived.
What type of zone you you like to see in ffxiv? And why!

I prefer ethereal and mystifying areas; zones that look out of this world. I'm hoping the Crystal Tower sates my thirst for one.

I'd like to see sand dunes. the thanalan desert is my favorite place, so far. But I'd like a sea of sand type area too. Though really, the more diverse we can get the better. Jungles, forests, mountains, deserts, beaches, caves, ruins, floating continents (this is final fantasy, after all.)

Some kind of underwater temple :o

what babydoll said.
and Crystal caverns, with crystals thats actually
reflects light or anything in its surroundings.
No reason not to go all out on SE's state of the art graphics quality.
a forest like "sanctuary of zi'tah" from FFXI, or atleast the
same type of mystical / erie music to go with it.
Snow / arctical areas, and when i say snow i mean so
much snow you would be up to your knees in it,
insane snowstorms & slippery...yes slippery ice patches on ground.
And dont forget making the sounds of falling snow, wind, ice-crackling
properly to make the game so much more engulfing.
Just adding such a small element such as slippery ice patches
will bring a whole new difficulty to the game.
Or...if you stand too long on an ice-patch you will be frozen solid lol
(hinting some new Raid difficulty elements for you guys on the dev team)
Just Do It ! :D

Volcanic areas, that is all :D
-
snow (xarcabard)
ambient forests (zi'tah)

My favorite type would have to be a dark/corrupted zone, very gloomy with strong monsters... Such as Caedarva Mire!

Hmm...I like area's with little details. It sounds vague but I like the types of areas where I can piece together the story of that place through the objects and details placed there.
However, what everyone suggested sounds fun! I hope we get areas like what was suggested.
On the underwater temple note- I hope we actually get to swim to/in it. ^^

ancient ruins of advanced civilizations (ro'maeve, ru'aun gardens)
