Question about the collectors edition box set

I'm looking to pick up the box set for Dawn Trail, but I'm confused and thought to ask here before jumping in and finding out I made a mistake.

I was looking at getting the $214 box set, but when I read the text below it,

* PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and Steam players are recommended to purchase the Collector's Box on the Square Enix Store, and visit the respective platform store to purchase the Dawntrail Digital Collector's Edition from those platforms.

I play on Steam and if I get this, will it have the code for Steam or would I need to buy it though Steam?

If you play on Steam, then you need to purchase everything through Steam. That includes Starter or Complete editions, and it includes any expansions you buy. It must be the Steam version via the Steam store.

If you play on Playstation, then all versions of the game, including Starter/Complete and any expansions, must be the Playstation version, bought from any retailer. If it's a physical CD, make sure it's a blue case.

If you play on Xbox, then all versions of the game, including Starter/Complete and any expansions, must be the Xbox version, bought from any retailer. If it's a physical CD, make sure it's a green case.

If you play on PC (non-Steam), then all versions of the game, including Starter/Complete and any expansions, must be the PC version, bought from any retailer.

Now, if you buy the Steam version, it is a digital-only platform. Therefore, buying the Collector's Edition would not send you the physical goods. That is why they made a "digital collectors edition" that excludes the physical goods.

The physical goods are then sold separately at retailers such as the Square Enix store of Amazon, called the "Collector's Box".

This is likewise the case if you get the "digital download only" version of the game for any platform, including Playstation, Xbox or PC. You can still obtain the physical goods separately.

If you want the physical collector and the digital one.
You have to buy the 155 $ collector box containing only the physical items and no game code.
And you will be able to buy the digital collector on Steam after that for the game himself.
