Chocobos, airships, and the main city

I feel like these three would make me come back alone. I'm all for fixing what's there, but the game still feels like it's missing huge chunks without these three.

Anyone else feel the same way? :confused:

Yes :( Running from city to city is an enormous time sink, but teleporting is so instant it takes away from the game. We need an inbetween.

I agree, adding Chocobos alone could change the feel of the game dramatically

For some reason I think these are all done and ready, but their waiting until they fix up the game some more to release it :S I mean what else could they have done for a year?

I agree, Chocobo's would be great to have as mounts. (Customizable Armor could be created / bought to put on them to make them more unique, along with different color of chocobo's). Airships would be great. I like this thread.

I love the customizable armor idea for your own personal chocobo. That you've bred, of course. Chocobo breeding, please.

I sometimes feel i am playing a mock final Fantasy game. Ishgard which is the main city (Jeuno of FFXI), Chocobos we see them in the city and cutscenes they are a main part, also airships.

I also agree.

Chocobos are my favorite thing about FINAL FANTASY. Well, at least one amongst many others, of course. They are what got me into FF XI and the series in general in the first place. The fact that they are not "implemented" yet for us to enjoy riding around for our own pleasure and ease of travel saddens me.

I did some research and discovered that the reason they are not "enabled" for us to ride is due to the teleportation system. They believe that the birds are not relevant with this new travel system in the game. That's all, as far as I know and have heard, however, now that we have Official Forums up and running I would more than love to see them activated as soon as possible. Same goes for airships, but I can wait for them over having Chocobos first.

They are fun to ride, breed and race. Having just one of those options gives me another reason to keep on signing into the game. The lack of that option keeps pokig at me to play another FINAL FANTASY game in order to have some sort of interaction with them.

Teleporting works great, but it's not fun like a Chocobo is. Also, Chocobos aren't limited, anima is. I hope I can ride them soon or hear at least some good news about them being added in the world. It sucks too, because I think FF XIV has the coolest looking Chocobos in the entire series, closely resembling the XI counter-parts.
