Season 10 should be extended to 7.0

With patch 6.58 coming in two weeks and no news on when Season 11 will start, we're potentially staring down a period of no Ranked Crystalline Conflict season for up to 8-9 months: there's unlikely to be a ranked season during 7.0 since everyone will be encouraged to play through the MSQ which makes 7.1 the likely target.

Season 11 could be squeezed in between 6.58 and 7.0, but this gets to my second complaint, which is that ranked seasons are way too short: the frequent rank resets sabotage the mode's ranking system and degrade match quality. Crystal Credit is supposed to be an MMR but is really more of a measure of player activity and late climbers are rewarded with favorable matchmaking while early climbers are punished.

It would be better (and less confusing!) if seasons were concurrent with series, which I hope SE considers. I'm not concerned about the potential loss of rewards, but if that's such a big issue, they could just be doubled. I already have a growing stack of unspent Commendation Crystals on my retainer.

I would imagine the concern is for the people at the top. You wouldn’t want to have to hold your first place position for 4 months.

PVP ranked is dead though.

every season starts after the previous one, (unless i had stroke and missed something) theres going to be a season 11 before 7.0 and in 7.1 pvp will more than likely get reworked and we can sift through wutever fresh hell that'll be (hopefully im wrong) there was a ranked season before EW, to your second point yeah the seasons are mismanaged, as for your MMR comment yes & no, obviously if you put in the time you'll get to crystal or even on the leaderboard but it doesnt really punish you for being early nor does it reward for being late if anything the reverse is more probable, as for running season and series together im not too convinced as if that'll be a fix considering most people who go for series aren't inclined to run ranked, there are several threads in which people have discussed how to incentivize ranked but like everything it's in the devs hands and pvp will sit in the broom closet below the stairwell.

I think CC will likely continue into Dawntrail. Wouldn't make sense for them to be adding new maps if they're going to throw it all out in less than a year.

And yes, for Ranked to truly be saved, there has to be a consolidation of queues across datacenters.
