Cross world hunts
So i don't know what is going on. It never really was a problem for transfer worlds for s ranks but now it takes 3+ min to transfer and by that time the s is or pulled. People just like waiting around. The que is clogged at 50+ at least when i cross server for s ranks. I do not know if this is another effect from the dc travel but it has killed cross server hunts.
If its going to stay this way then there needs to be a delay before the hunt is targetable so everyone can cross over.

hunts are not meant to be "waited on" for EVERYONE and their mother to make it over.
Hunts are free-for-alls. No rules. You don't make it there in time? not the hunt mark's fault.

What the Doctor said.
But yea, using Discord pings makes it easier for ppl to react fast and most of them waiting at atherytes into server change to be even faster.
Tbh some using tools to see spawns in advance, but it's a big community so 50+ in queue it's normal at decent times.

50+ is not that big a queue for world visit when S ranks are involved. They were much larger toward the start of the expansion.
That the hunt marks are more likely to be dead now if you get stuck in queue is the result of power creep and not the number of players attending. They have always started dying faster as an expansion got into its final stages, even before world visit existed.
As DrWho said, the Hunt is intended to be pull on sight. The player community might be trying to organize it to work differently but the developers have shown no signs that they're interested in supporting the community effort. You have to hope that everyone in attendance is willing to wait. Not everyone is.
Until such time as they announce they're going to change it and then implement the change, you're going to have to decide how to prioritize the Hunt as part of your game play. You can Aetheryte camp like some do to try to beat the crowd to the queue, or you can ignore off world Hunts to focus only on your local spawns (what I mostly do unless I'm helping spawn off world).
You might also want to review how you're getting your relays. Linkshells aren't created equal and it can take a couple of minutes for relays to filter to all the hunt linkshells (which makesa big difference in getting through queue faster). Primal relies far more on Faloop than Centurio for relays outside of game if you're using (or interested in using) a third party source.
