What materia should i meld into my main tool?

craft/m.craft/control or stats corresponding to that tool?
trying to HQ wrapped hawksbeak hammer for bsm

For BSM I went with STR for better quality gains.

I've heard that testing revealed that the effect of (magic) craftsmanship on quality gains was greater than the effect of stats, so I put Craft+5 on both my L48 mh tools. They're WVR and LTW, but the advice should apply to BSM just as well.

I'll see if I can track down where I read that.
