As someone who has occasionally had conversations with moderation team personnel - whom I have found to be absolutely pleasant and sociable to communicate with each time I've had the experience - there is one problem that has occurred to me on a few occasions.
I speak, of course, of Duty. These activities disconnect you from the /tell feature. While in Duties, you can neither receive nor send a /tell to another player. (Exception: I seem to recall being able to receive/send tells in Field Operation zones to other players there, but it's been a while since I've been to those locations.)
Problematically, members of the moderation team seem to not be able to get the standard notification you are in a Duty when they reach out to you. In a similar manner, the game's code makes no exception that would let you REPLY to a member of the moderation team. This means members of the moderation team are missing out on the possibility to obtain a fuller or more direct feedback from the player they are attempting to reach out to talk to.
I would like to propose the former as a viable resolution. A conversation with a member of the moderation team would logically take potentially several minutes, if not more. It would be unfair to other players on the team to ask them to set and wait while you talk to one. Similarly, removal of the player from the Duty to facilitate such a conversation would both adversely impact the other players AND discourage players from reaching out to start with.
It seems to me it would be exceedingly helpful, to the members of the moderation team, to be able to be notified if the player they are reaching out to is presently unable to respond.
