How to place a miniature aetheryte?

I have recently bought an apartment and have also purchased a miniature aetheryte which I would like to place outside the apartment block. I have the miniature aetheryte in my inventory but can't work out how to place it. I have tried dragging and dropping it but that doesn't work. Can't find any menu item for this. I have used the Housing menu to place items inside my apartment with no problems.
I have searched the internet but no luck.

There must be a simple thing I'm missing.

You cannot place a a miniature Aetheryte outside an apartment. Those are only for House plots. There is already a teleport option available once you own an apartment.

On the teleport window, open the "other" tab. It has your apartment/house/FC house, along with other "in between" areas like Mor Dhona. The icon at the top for "Other" is an aetheryte. Easy to find.
