Fixing Healer DPS kits without adding more bloat.

Sage's healing toolkit feels very robust. It's very satisfying to figure out best times to utilize the many tools they have within their repertoire.

Unfortunately, every healer is lacking on the DPS side. You spend most fights spamming your filler spell and you don't get your AoE until level 45-46.


Playing Sage in PvP made me realize that the issue is not a lack of buttons. The DPS cooldowns are too long. Sage's rotation felt just right with the cooldowns of Phlegma, Pneuma significantly reduced.

Porting this version over (while perhaps keeping Toxicron the same because the shield consumption mechanic is fun to play around) would make sage much more engaging to play during healing downtime.


This mindset should carry over to other healers. Each already has tools in their kit that let them squeeze out extra DPS. White Mage's asieze and lilies for example.

Unfortunately, the cooldowns for each is so long that you spend 90% of your time spamming your filler. Working these in as more frequent button presses would really reduce tedium without adding any new button bloat.

Also give every healer their AOE at level 15. Early dungeons would feel SO much better if you did. For Holy, maybe give it a trait that gives it the ability to stun at level 45. It might be OP to have that early on.
