Over 90% chances to get a WHM in the opposite team because they're everywhere.
If they're not stupid, they'll sit on Miracle as soon as they see your LB ready.
You cannot LB if they're in the vicinity, else you'll get insta polyed and unable to follow up on to refresh the charm, more or less wasting the LB. The presence of a single job essentially locks half of the power of your job out of the game on its own.
Very fun, 11/10 would recommend.
Dancer is near unplayable if the other team is all range. You approach, you get sent back one way or another. How do you use Homing Dance in that situation?
Welcome to melee play when you're the only one on your team. You adjust the playstyle around tanking and mitigating. DNC isn't that different and can survive well, dash in, dash out. It's literally the basics of frontlining.

Even if you poly them before they pop their LB it's still a win, you lock them out of a play, and they'll probably die, and poly will be ready again once they come back anyway.
Any stun on a DNC will do the job.
In my experience everyone will focus a Dancer who comes in range, Honing Dance will = death. LB will = Stun on cast then death and even if they dont stun you, they just laugh and step out of range before the snapshot kicks in the cast bars so long lol.
Dancers do well if their team mates are there to back them up or the enemy doesn't know what they are doing.
Where we excel is by distracting the enemy from people who can do damage and take a hit, a Dancer appearing behind the enemy team is a good way to distract them from your allies unless they are tunneling in which case your honing dance will def pull them off your allies and onto you.
Just always assume every action, even 1 on 1 will A) Do no damage against 90% of the other jobs, B) Die in a single stun window, C) will always be focused and prioritized down on sight. Just take the death knowing that if the enemy is chasing you or targeting you, they are not targeting the Ninja setting up to one shot the enemy or if you are really lucky, your team will be free to push the crystal.
That said, they are very effective at scaring the enemy off the crystal lol. Dash in, honing dance or start LB, watch the other team panic then regroup to take you out, and hope its provided enough time for your team mates to stop chasing a single person on the other side of the map and actually push the crystal!
That said, a well placed and timed LB CAN stop the enemy long enough to get the crystal to the goal during that final stretch where the enemy are reviving as fast as they can and panic rushing in 1 at a time.
Pretty much dont think of us as a Glass Cannon, dont think of us as Crowd control. Think of us/yourself as a distraction, theres more to CC than K/D/A numbers, as nice as seeing a good K and A score is..... well..... A anyway, were Dancers. XD
A stun is annoying to deal with, but you can purify if you're quick enough, and refresh the Charmed debuff. I still think the window is a little short, especially for people with bad latency, but the fact is that you're not totally helpless, and it makes you consider carefully when going in for it, and make sure you have purify available, else it's on you, it was a gamble and you lost kind of deal.
You don't Honing Dance with LB unless you know what you're doing (like having managed to lock 4+ of them into Charmed so they can't hurt you anymore).
Yes, I do think that while I understand why they made the Charmed debuff take 2.8s or something to activate (to make it easier for other LBs to sync with it when it gets popped), it's too long.
Also who said that DNC is a glass cannon with no damage? It's quite the opposite in fact. It secures kills, deals good AoE pressure, excels at chasing people down or harassing/ratting, and is one of the most annoying jobs to take down. But that's beyond the point of the OP. The point of the OP was that I don't find it healthy at all that a certain ability, which is already infamous for how stupid and broken it is in general, is also responsible for hard countering multiple jobs in the roster like DNC, GNB and even WAR to a lesser extent. But it really takes the crown with DNC comparatively. Even more problematic that WhM is easy to play, very accessible, very little effort for the power it brings to any team, and as a result we see it in almost every game.
You know what actually would already help? Make Purify be nullified by the Purified 5s buff. At least that way I can cleanse a cc with DNC, so that I get the buff and then I can try to LB without the looming/dooming threat of the enemy WhM. I don't even get why this stupid ability is getting through that buff to begin with, as if it wasn't already broken enough on its own.
