Keeping old crafting relevant

I actually think this is a very good thing to do. Keeping old crafting relevant is essential to a healthy mmo, imo. Its one of the major flaws of most mmo's like wow, etc. The fact the mats etc at least sell well make me very happy personally and its part of why I've fallen in love with the game so much. Though I have heard not all of it is actually relevant entirely, they must be selling for some reason and that is awesome because there is basically no reason to do any of it in wow.

One of the mistakes a lot of people make regarding FFXIV is believing you have to have the highest-tier, pentamelded crafting set at max level to make gil in this game. Couldn’t be further from the truth! Crafts from all levels can sell.

heck you dont even need to craft to make gil. Literally buy something from a server for cheap and figure out where its being sold at a premium.
