Adding Missing Levequests at level 80-82-84-86-88?

Hello,

Starting from the Heavensward Expansion, each DoL and DoH had 3 unique levequests were added. In the Endwalker expansion, only 2 unique quests were added for each DoH jobs and Fisher from the DoL jobs.

It is now impossible to complete the 120 unique levequests completion achievement for the DoH jobs and the 100 unique levequests completion achievement for the Fisher job. On the other hand, both Miner and Botanist jobs can complete the 100 unique levequests completion achievement normally. In total, there is 45 Levequests that would be considered missing from the game. (Missing 1 levequest per level 80-82-84-86-88 on each DoH and Fisher).

As of now, to complete the unattainable goal, you would need to use the Large-Scale Levequests System from Heavensward that has been unused/forgotten/discontinued. Using the unsupported system would extend the required time to complete each achievements by a factor of 10. In total, the number of Levequests allowances needed are 450 compared to the mentionned 45 above.

Since Levequests are given to each players at a rate of 6 per day, it would take 75 whole days to be able to complete those achievements. If the 45 levequests were added to the game, it would only take 7 days and 6 hours to complete those achievements.

In the end, it is unfair to the players and it doesn't respect their time and dedication to this game. It waste more than 2 months and 15 days of gaming daily instead of a week and 6 hours.

Please consider adding a levequest for each DoH and Fisher at level 80-82-84-86-88.

Wanted to bump this as I was just getting into the same grind myself. Being that close from so many different achievements is really frustrating, and being unable to do anything to fix it for 2 full weeks per achievement makes it even worse.

It's also made even more frustrating because until endwalker they were adding 15 per expansion, but now, unless DT has 20, we'll be eternally 5 away. It really just feels like a way to kick us achievement hunters when we're down to make the 6.5 year grind even worse.

This is one of those unfortunate situations where the answer is sitting in front of you but you don't like it.

You're intended to do those large-scale leves from Heavensward to get the unique leve achievements as they're still leves. You could choose to do them and get them out of the way so you don't have to worry about them anymore, or you can wait an indefinite period of time (likely forever) hoping that SE will change things.

My suggestion is to just get them done rather than wait.

Since we are already set for a 7 year grind, I have time to put that "likely forever" to the test.

It's important to note though that the change is an EW change. They rolled back the number of leves available, and until then you never needed to wait the extra week to finish off each achievement. They have the ability to fix this fairly easily revert the change they made in EW by adding 15 in DT.

The real fix we all want is to increase the levequest earn rate, but if you at least shout into the void, there is always hope somebody at SE listens.

Actually just finished the HW leve grind. Takes a while but it's still a good leve dump.

OMG an achievement that can be completed over a period of time! As it if were a novelty! Completing that achievement is really not hard. Also, you don’t waste 2 months and 15 days of gaming on it but just a few minutes of your time every week until the end. If that’s the character on which you are trying to get the achievement on, it’s not like you don’t have other achievements to complete during that time…it will take you way more than that period of time anyway. That “dedication” sounds more like an obsession to me.

Them listening and them making the change you want are two different things. I doubt they're going to change how quickly leve allowances regenerate because they're a bit of a powerhouse when it comes to gil generation.

The need to do some of the large-scale leves goes all the way back to Heavensward. There were 60 leves per DoH class in ARR, then 15 normal leves and 15 large-scale leves added in HW. The HW unique leve achievement required 80 leves to be completed. That meant doing at least 5 of the 15 large-scale.

The SB unique leve achievement was 100 but only 15 leves were added. That meant players had to do 10 of the 15 large-scale instead of just 5.

The ShB unique leve achievement was 110 with 15 leves again added. That dropped the needed large-scale back down to 5 from 10.

The EW unique leve achievement is 120 with 10 leves added. Still 5 large-scale leves needed.

So no, it wasn't possible to do without large-scale leves prior to EW. They have always been needed since they were added in HW. Have fun waiting 7 years just to find you're still going to need to do 5 of them.

I think you're also underestimating how long your "7 year grind" is going to take considering SE will continue to add new achievements to the game with each new expansion and major patch.

Leves are the most annoying timegated thing.
Everything else that's been added takes less than a year of grinding, except maybe hunts.

Good luck to you in getting all achievements done in less than a year other than hunts and leves. I'm sure some will be excited to hear your progress.

While implementing additional levequests would of course solve the issue, I have a maybe even easier fix in mind: Just make it so that the large-scale leves score 10 points towards the "Complete 5000 ___ levequests" achievements. This way the spent leve allowances are worth just as much as with the regular levequests. I can see that this might funnel a lot of achievement grind on the large-scales leves as they may be a faster way to spend 10 allowances. But I don't think this would be a bad thing because the grind would take the same amount of time overall as you don't generate allowances any faster. What do you think?
