[Suggestions] - Retainer Features
Oki i only got a few suggestions for the retainers.
Im pretty okay with using retainers for storeage at the moment
and dont feel i need an Auction House yet.
However there's some small details / feature's id like the retainers to have.
Feel free to post your own suggestions / feedback.
Suggestions:
* Retainer Bazaar Message.
- Viewable for everyone while browsing.
- Much like FFXI's Bazaar message option.
* Option to set Browsing message.
- Option to set a display message to whoever is browsing the retainers bazaar.
hm well...thats it i guess, i cant think of anything else atm. ^^
Suggestions for Retainer's
#1: Retainer=NPC (someday even Players); to rely more on your fellow players and what they can do for you as in the retainer partake the duty or role of an npc currently in action.; exchange roles become any NPCs, Main Story Characters, becoming more involved, However as of right now just sending a Retainer or two to play to become the Role of a stationed Camp NPC or Dealers for [buy,sell,chat, and giving rewards](time limit could be 1hr each, different per camp). This could be the First Ever True Role that allows changes to what is currently known(probably), to do more, exchange and be part of it all, Retainers/Players to play a more active role in the world. For Retainers this could be just adding one more Duty they must undertake beside sale/holding our stuff.
#2: Retainer's Phys-Level: As a Aid they could have armor, rank-ups, similar to players but different, they don't have to fight but to support you whenever you go ..., Retainer also take attacks from monsters more then the player would and get Fatigue to, when that happens you must Return them if not in time you get a penalty for letting them get that way [ maybe can't call them for a while, 2 days].
#3: Freedom and Change Zombie Movements: into camps and fields, to go outside the cities limits, currently Retainer's are confined. as well as to walking around in the city maybe as to carry a Delivery package, who know. also the retainer's zombie-like stance, improve the movements and give [hand jesters, mouth movements, etc..].
#4: Retainer Profile; maybe right next to our [Profile] when we're at the first in-game menu, have an [Information/Photos each Retainer. anywhere else would also be great to, like in our lodestone profile's as well when logging in their.
#5: Better Service; As it currently is we(players) click others Retainers to buy items however there's no Service. No 50% discount off, No buy 2 get 1 free, come on. and most of all the /say [" Hello How Are You Today Customer?"] and /say ["Thank You For Your Purchase, Do Hope We See You Again"] ... currently Retainers /say is nothing at all to customers.
also maybe a stylish Greeting that only retainers can do.
{New Addition!!}#6 Retainer's Emotes: a setup that allows retainer-actions, like our emotes /bow or /goodbye. so a retainer would have it's own reaction when coming into contact with you or someone else; or the opposite someones retainer does an emote for player "what could he or she want?", have a look-see ? or not ).
[Retainers] could also preform the emotes in pairs; as to the more you have:
-if there is only 1 retainer in your service have him or her preform a Retainer's Emote; [sitting/stand, welcome bow, etc..]
-if there is 2 retainers in your service you can have them preform a "Dual" of Emotes together; [D-Dancing, Siting/stand etc..].
-and if there is a larger group in your service maybe up to 5 and more... ( and maybe someday with trusted LS Members or friends, with all their Retainer's doing a Linked-Performance as a group).
#7: Safely Zones; another way to get Retainer involved have them as a Helper,
temporarily magical summon or have a small area a retainer can be reached. however it probably can only be used once a day or twice per day. The Safely Zones each have of it's aoe (area of effect). having a retainer close by so we can pass items into storage then and their, less to have too teleport/running back to a city. a quicker and faster way nicely, would anyone else agree?
#8: Who Make This Item????

{New Addition!!}#9: Hidden Possibilities; many things are still unknown about our Retainer's, their likes and dislikes, personality, and actives off duty. the hidden stuff must be brought out within each Retainer if we players want to, by preforming a set of emotes or /say something (related to retainer emotes) to get to know them better. but what are the hidden possibilities ???. (example: *in doing so we players could end-up on a journey to the very ends of the world of Eorzea! ... or just visit the Retainer's House.)
[new options and possible new paths could become available; showing your retainer does have a life outside working for you.].
{New Addition!!} #10: Retainer Homes(?); they've got to have something at least, whether it could be a small shack or within one of the three cities buildings (an apartment complex). There are also plenty of unknown area all about in Eorzea, maybe one or two areas leads to a village where retainer''s live.
#11: SELL(not Sale) Function: Yes, some problems will diffidently rise from this, as players can get away with selling wares to regular NPC at their stores, what will make them not drain you dry through you Retainer? giving you the cheapest mate and get all your balanced of gil off your retainer. Fair play is a Huge problem before this can be put in. I'm saying change that way we're doing things, might be time for us(players) to as well, of course with some kinda of limitation to make things fair. someday...
#12: Helper Switch: An Icon that can be clicked, then the Retainer will speak in full Detailed Information about asked item(s). There's also a comments page written by player, others players, and retainer them self. [do you like it?] [should I sell more?] etc ...
#13: Sales History: You should always keep your recites, and it doesn't hurt not to know what got sold that day by which {player name} from which retainer, for memory and it could help.
#14: Ask Me: Communicate with the Seller through the Retainer by give you a temporary pearl, a quick and faster way to contact also stating when the master's log hours and might be back. Can also be used to make a quick-connection between player and our retainer; an Instant Connection 24/7 method, however In-battle or out-of-range cannot connect.
#15: The Retainer's Action-List Window(fix): summon all Retainers continuously, add more option to the Retainer Action-List Window which could: selects more then 1 (as currently is) and calls all at the same time. Also the addition of an Targeting Call which then chooses the set spot anywhere in the market vise the map. (as so rumor also says having something similar)
