I was thinking with future Rival Wings updates, would it potentially be a good idea or not to add new mechs to the game mode. I want to say yes because more is always cool, but it is hard for me to think of a reason why we need a new mech. The mechs we got now all fulfil existing roles that you really need for the mode, but again I also think having a new mech could be interesting.
I was thinking recently now that those little bunny dudes are a thing I hope if they make a new map that it involves them with working with the goblins to make more mechs.
There's a treasure trove of Garlean mechs that could be used for Garlemald-themed Rival Wings map.
Keep a rotation of Goblin, Garlemald, and Loporitt mechas. Hells throw in different themed teams at each other.
I was thinking less of the design/look and more of the function of the mech itself. All three mechs we have all are incredibly balanced against each other and fulfil all the roles in the game already. So all the new ideas I can think of just seem to break the balance a bit so I don't know if adding a new one would be good. The closest I could think of was a mech that was mostly focused with doing range attacks, but BJ already does the same thing for example. I could just be missing something that could be interesting but I am mostly just unsure.
We have Anti-Personel, Siege, and Balanced Mechs. We could possibly get support and utility style mechs - does heals/defense buffs and one that applies debuffs/confusion effects.
Imagine being in a fight and you got hit by a forced march debuff and you just walked off a cliff/into an aoe, or you had that silly hand that messes with which direction you want to go.
