Speculation on Dawntrail's Raid series

Is there any info on it... or any thread speculating on what it might be, if not, I wanna see your thoughts.

Maybe something to do with the Blue Mages of the New World, that way it could feel special for BLUs when they do it later on that job. Could also be raid bosses based on some of the areas that were teased to us by a certain character near the end of EW. These are very vague speculations as I am in no way a lore expert for the new area.

The main things we knew, they made sure to tell us anyway.

The Great Gubal Library told us it had a city of gold. We were told that by the developers anyway.

Blue Mage quests created some lore there. It seems we are going to visit an area with a similar issue to one that happened in the blue mage quests.

It has Mamool Ja. We knew that as well. But the developers told us this too.

There's not enough lore available to really speculate... I suppose the "City of Gold" is the only standout thing we particularly know about the New World.

So who knows, maybe the FFXIV version of El Dorado is going to be the Raid series.

I think it'd be fun if it's about around going after some magical macguffin, but another party of rival adventurers is also after it. But it turns out that the magical macguffin is actually evil, and corrupts the rival adventurers. So the bosses could be like whatever monsters/guardians are in the way of getting to the macguffin, and the corrupted adventurers with their jobs being translated into raid bosses.

Do you guys think it'll be tied to another FF or it'll be like a new thing like Pandemoneum (Although sike cuz Athena was actually Ultima)

Athena is more like Emperor Mateus from FF2. Pandemonium is based on FF2 (where the Ultima spell plays an important part of the story)

I'll admit, I was a bit disappointed to not see much of FFXI in this series. I mean, we're in Pandemonium.. we spend time with the Wardens.. like come on.

I expect a FF13-inspired series this time around, for no particular reason.

Pandamonium is more based on ff2 the only pandemonium in ff11 was pandemonium warden which is why we never got any ff11 references in that raid series. If anything there should have been more ff2 and ff12 references since the convocation is based on ff12.

I hope it's not the city of gold. I hope the city of gold isnt real, like the IRL myth of the golden city.
