Details I noticed in the Character Creator

So I was messing around with the character creator. And I noticed certain facial features that share similarities between races. In particular the forehead gemstones/ Bindi like symbol that can be a facial option or tattoos.

So looking at all the races here are the ones who have special markings for their forehead

DunesFolk Lalafell: M/F -there’s lore behind their gemstone relating to their zodiacal sign. it’s a grey gemstone similar to the Garlean third eye

Seekers of the Sun Miqo’te: Female only- The facial feature appears as a red circle, and for some reason males cannot use this (if you know about any unknown lore for this or any other features, lemme know :cool:)

Keepers of the Moon Miqo’te: M/F- this facial feature appears as a black reversed tear drop. It is unclear, as far as I know, if this is part of the “war paint” described in their sub race lore, which is believed to give them “lunar powers”.

Roegadyn: Female Only, specific faces- The most interesting one to me is the gemstone-like tattoo that only 2 out of 4 Female Roegadyns faces can use. It’s a scale like pointed gemstone with a black, undyeable border shaped like a shield. Being a tattoo it is the only forehead marking like this that is dyeable. Unfortunately there’s no lore that I could find about it, which is a shame. (Honorable mention is a small flower-shaped tattoo that only 1 fem roe face can use, it’s much more “tattoo” like than the tattoo above which is why I put it here)

Viera: Female Only- lastly, Female Viera have their own unique colored Gemstone facial feature depending on the face you select for your character. From left to right, they are Red, Orange, White, and Purple. I don’t know if there’s lore for this anywhere though.

Once again I wanted to open up discussions on these facial features and others if anyone has insight into known lore bits or has their own headcanon they want to share.
