Frame Rate/Pace Issues
After logging in today, I noticed the game being framey, but like... VERY framey.
It's odd though. It feels more like a frame pace issue than frames actually dropping. I'm locked to 60fps yet everything just looks and performs horribly choppy. Unlocking frame rate shoots me up over 140fps, but the issue persists. The image has never looked more unstable.
I've never had issues with this game's performance anymore, and after talking to a friend, this is also happening with NVIDIA, so it's definitely not AMD's awful drivers.
This wasn't happening yesterday. Something's up. Game's performing like Pokemon Scarlet.

I have noticed this myself too.
Almost like my computer couldn't handle the games load. Different than network lag, which a lot of people have been complaining about for the past day or two...

I have an update! (Sad to see this isn't even an acknowledged problem by the devs or even community managers here)
The issue seems to be with the in-game Frame Limiter/Vsync option, which are rolled into a single option on the Display Settings.
The immediate solution is to uncap the frame rate in XIV and then apply a 60FPS cap and VSync directly through the NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Adrenalin.
This is what the issue looks like.
This is what the game should look like (With Fix mentioned above).
This has never been an issue with the game before, and though there's an external solution, this should be fixed directly within the game itself, more so because I think there's still a bit of screen tearing even with VSync enabled in the AMD software.
Please do something about it. Acknowledge it, address it, talk to us... anything, please!
